Paragraph A


1.Their villages were little more than clusters of thatched huts.

解析：此句可以表达某个事物和另外一个事物差不多。

2.When local resources became depleted， the tribe moved on.

解析：这句话可以用在资源抢夺的话题里面，只有把the tribe变成人类就可以了。

Paragraph B

3.To causal observers， as well as to influential natural scientists and regional planners， the luxuriant forests of Amazonia seem ageless， unconquerable， a habitat totally hostile to human civilization.

解析：这句话可以用来表示很多人都没有意识到环保问题有多么的严重。

Paragraph C

4.The popular conception of Amazonia and its native residents would be enormously consequential if it were true.

解析：这句话可以用来某个理念将会变得相当重要，不要再用important了哦。

5.Investigators who argue otherwise have unwittingly projected the present onto the past.

解析：这句可以用来引出反方的观点。

Paragraph D

6.The evidence for a revised view of Amazonia will take many people by surprise.

解析：这句话可以用来提出一个新的令人吃惊的观点。

Paragraph E

7.The realization comes none too soon.

解析：这句短句其实相当有用，可以用来表示什么事请正好发生。

8.Ironically， one major casualty of that extreme position has been the environment itself.

解析：这句话可以用来表达恶性循环的发生，非常地道。

Paragraph F

9.The long-buried past， it seems， offers hope for the future.

解析：这句话可以用在全文第一句，尤其是那种新旧对比的文章。

总之，在以上的一些例句中我们不能看出，从托福范文中找出些例句来替换写作中那些初级低端的句型。不但可以提高写作质量，而且可以真正做到阅读写作不分家，有效缩短复习周期，提高学习效率。
