Submit an Online Application
Applications should be submitted through the Online Application System.
In the Online Application, applicants can upload “unofficial” copies (a scan
or PDF) of all the supporting documents, including:
Personal Statement
Curriculum Vitae
HKID/Passport/Hong Kong & Macau Exit-entry Permit (for Mainland
applicants)
Bachelor’s Degree Certificate
Graduation Certificate (for Mainland applicants)
Bachelor’s Degree Transcript (with grading scheme)
GMAT/GRE/IELTS/TOEFL*
Two Reference Letters – Referees should complete and submit recommendation
forms through the Online Application System
Passport Photo
And other documents, such as award certificates, professional certificates,
etc.
*If the applicants retake the exams and would like to update the scores after
they submit the Online Application, they can email their score reports to
mscfin@cuhk.edu.hk. We will update the profiles for them.
Mail the Supporting Documents
Applicants will be required to mail the following official copies to the
Program Office (full-time) once they receive the Invitation for Interview.
Degree Transcript(s) – sent directly by the institutions the applicants have
attended
GMAT or GRE report – sent directly by respective testing organization The
GMAT code for this Program is R9H-0W-85 and the GRE institution/department code
is R3153/4102.
TOEFL or IELTS (Academic Format) report. The TOEFL institution code for the
program is 0812 (Department Code is 82 ).
Application Fee
Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of HK$400.
Payment of the application fee can be made by:
Credit card through Online Application System or
Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) of HSBC or Hang Seng Bank (A/C No. :
293-005005-011). ATM payment is only for Hong Kong applicants. The applicants
should specify the "application no." at the back of original ATM payment receipt
and mail to the Program Office (full-time).
Interviews
Invitation-only interviews are conducted at the discretion of the Program
after the submission of a completed application.
Application Results
Successful applicants will receive the offer letter via email within one
month after the end of each round. Applicants may consider their applications
unsuccessful if they do not hear from us thereafter. Email or telephone
enquiries about application results will not be entertained.
Visa (For Non-local students ONLY)
The MSc programme in Finance welcomes overseas application. Successful
overseas applicants must obtain a student visa to study in Hong Kong. For
enquiries about entry visa requirements, please visit the website of The Hong
Kong Immigration Department.
