话题1:Weekend
属性:重点预测
1 Are weekends important to you?
参考答案
Yes. I need time to rest. I am busy at work, getting pressure, a lot of problems waiting to be solved. Weekends are the only chance you can rest a little bit and have fun with family.
2 How do you (usually) spend the weekend?
参考答案
On weekends I like to stay at home. I can easily spend a weekend watching TV and just relaxing. For example, I like the soap operas like ‘Friends’ and so on. I know the characters in Friends very well by now, some of whom I love and some I hate. I know that some of the plots are silly and overdramatic, but it is good entertainment for relaxation.
3 Which do you prefer, Saturday or Sunday?
参考答案
It is Sunday. Sundays are just more peaceful and relaxing, especially Sunday nights. Sometimes Saturdays I have to do chores like laundry and scrubbing the toilets. It can get pretty chaotic on those days.
4 What do you usually do on that day?
参考答案
I usually go shopping with my parents and rent a family movie on Saturday, and I will hang out with my friends. Girls will drink something together and gossip a bit.
5 What are you going to (planning to) do next weekend?

参考答案
Yes, it's time for family reunion. Since I have to work from Monday to Friday, so I spend most of the weekends with my family, shopping or travelling together. I think that's what makes a family close when you spend time with them.
7 Do you think that people should work on weekends?
参考答案
No, because working on Saturdays and Sundays is illegal and counterproductive. Moreover, employees feel depressed and exhausted for working in their rest time
8 Should people be paid overtime for working at the weekend?
参考答案
Let me get something straight. It is illegal to work at weekends. But if have to employers must paid overtime for working on holidays. Working at weekend sucks. It is the only leisure time for people to relax.

参考答案
Just do whatever sparks my interest, like shopping and watching a movie. Sometimes I will hang out with the family, laughing with friends, listening to music and bother my brother

Well, I think it depends. Some people like me always go shopping on weekends, so absolutely we will spend more money. Or some like watching movies in a cinema, or having dinner with friends in a restaurant, so are all expensive. But some people only like watching TV at home, or read books in a library, so they will spend the same amount of money on weekend as in weekdays, or maybe even less.

Well I think there’s no doubt that the major cause is the increase in the amount of cars on the road. Invest money in it. The problem is it's a vicious cycle. No one wants to use it because it sucks, and it sucks because no one uses it.
