Gone are the days when individuals claimed it imperative for humans to take a number of measures to prevent the occurence of climate change, though some still do so. Actually, from my perspective, I disagree that we are supposed to tolerant the climate change instead of stopping it.

Those who advocate it might argue that climate change inevitably gives enormous financial benefits to the local economy to a certain extent. It is noticeable that in spite of the polluting the environment, some traditional industries are still making contributions to boosting the economy and reducing the unemployment rate. Besides, compared with preventing climate change, tolerating it seems more realistic. For instance, if citizens reduce the use of private cars, the tendency of global warming may be slower, but the temperature of the environment may still increase gradually.

However, on no account can we fail to think of the fact that climate change is likely to give rise to a host of disasters, contributing to being detrimental to human beings. It is no rare thing that haze has dramatically influenced residents’ daily lives, especially those who are living and working in Beijing. Additionally, the green house effect which is caused by gas emitted by cars might increase the temperature of the earth, contributing to bringing more looming disasters to human beings, such as more frequent flood and more serious famine. Therefore, the performance of accelerating the process of climate change, which particularly threatens people’s lives, is supposed to be banned rather than living with it.

In conclusion, although preventing climate change may bring barriers to the economic development, nothing is more significant than everybody’s safety and health. Consequently, instead of finding a way to put up with the change, we need to take some measures to reduce the negative effect climate change may exert on us.
