首先，在雅思写作评分标准里面有vocabulary和task response，也就是词汇和扣题，所以你需要在这两个方面做得好才能拿高分。所以，you need to use words and phrases that are specific to the particular question，也就是说，你必须要使用那些和题目非常相关的词汇。举个栗子，如果问题是关于环境，你可以写“greenhouse gases”或者”carbon dioxide emissions”。但是这些短语并不能被用在每一种话题的大作文里，它们只和环境有关。

当然，确实有一种类型的单词可以用于任何大作文，那就是连接词，那些起到承上启下作用的词汇，像it is clear that, firstly, secondly, to sum up等等，但是呢，这些词汇并不会contribute to your vocabulary or task response scores，听懂了吗?这些词汇并不会帮助你取得高分，能让你拿高分的依然是你的ideas，而你的ideas需要这些连续词去构建。
