(Buying Time)
“That’s an interesting question. Let me think for a second.”
“Well, it’s not something I’ve thought about before, but...”
“Oh, that’s a big/tough question. Where should I start...”
Well...”, “Actually...”, “You know...”
(Rephrasing the Question)
“So, you’re asking me about [换种说法重复问题关键词]...”
Why do people like to travel?”
So, the reasons why traveling is appealing to many people... I think there are a couple of key factors.”
(Thinking Aloud)
“Let me see... I suppose I could talk about two main reasons.”
“I’m trying to think of the best example... Oh yes, there was this one time...”
“There are a couple of reasons for this.”
“I think it depends.”
“I haven’t personally experienced this, but I believe...”
That’s a complex issue. On the surface, it might seem that way... But if we think deeper, technology also connects people across distances. So I’d say it’s a double-edged sword.”
这里的“On the surface... But if we think deeper...”
不停道歉: “Sorry, my English is poor.” “Sorry, I don’t know.”
换成英文的 “Well, you know, I mean...”
(Part 3): Do you think people will continue to read printed books in the future?
That’s an interesting question. Let me think...”
I think the answer is ‘yes’, but probably for different reasons.”
For one thing, printed books offer a sensory experience that e-books can’t match...”
Plus, for collectors or in certain settings like libraries, physical books still hold great value...”
