【Part2】Describe an occasion that you received a good service3

Every time when I have a chitchat with buddies about what kind of service we should be offered, I think of my shopping experience in Hong Kong.

The devil is always in the detail. Generally, service in not so shining corners are my touchstone to see the real standard of one shop’s service. The toilet cleaner’s professional service in HK really impressed me.

The public toilet in big city is always a mix of love and hate, you will feel blessed when you finally find a place to relieve after so much painful search. But when you do spot a WC, like in a big mall, owing to large foot traffic, more than not the case, it is often dirty, smelly and makes you feel sick.

Last summer holiday, I traveled to Hong Kong, and went shopping in a shopping mall. To my surprise, unlike the toilet I ever went, even though there were a lot of people waiting in line, the environment of the toilet was so good that you may feel as though you’re going into a store rather than a toilet. When I was queueing, I observed the cleaner carefully.

The cleaner was a middle-aged woman in overalls, waiting at a corner. Whenever someone came out of a toilet cubicle, she got in to check if the toilet roll was adequate, then got out to inform the next customer. Several times once she found the cubicle was a little dirty, she cleaned the cubicle as fast as she could. At the other times, she mopped the water on the washbasins and floor, added the hand sanitizer and towels, even mopped the water on the hand dryer. I was deeply impressed, since she keeping doing it carefully and sometimes have kind eye contact with customers with smile.

It’s a heartfelt act from an ordinary but respectable lady. She is the best ambassador for the whole mall service.
