I used to drive my own car to the nearby cities for the weekends since at that time, I thought I would have more freedom if I drove by myself. But after the experiencing the traffic jam in Shanghai, I would rather take the public transportation in metropolises （大城市）than drive my own car. Last spring, I drove my car with my sister to Shanghai for a holiday. We spent 4 days there,which gave me so many precious memories. One day, we were going to see a drama in the evening. Unluckily, we met a terrible traffic jam on the peak hour.People were hurried home at that time. Although I tried my best to drive fast, we were still trapped in the bottleneck. We felt sure that we would not arrive at the theater on time and we even planned to walk to the theater, but it was another problem for parking the car. We got nothing to do but waited in the car and kept complaining about the terrible traffic situation in Shanghai. Although I like Shanghai, I would not be willing to live there because it was too crowded. Finally we got to the theater but we were late for 15 minutes. In fact, it was not a very important experience in my trip, but I won’t forget the inconvenience that the traffic jam brought to me. If I go to Shanghai the next time, I will take the public transportation instead of driving my own car.
