About one year ago, I went to a French food restaurant with my friend in Shanghai. In that restaurant, I met Jack, a cook who worked there and gradually he becomes a friend of mine. Jack is an avid （热情的）and amiable （亲切的）French boy who has the same interest with me in cooking western style food. Although he is a French, he can speak several languages well, which enables him to communicate easily with many distinguished （优秀的）cooks from all around the world for the past 5 years. He shared his experience with me and I learned that he was not a genius for cooking in the first place and many cooks condemned his IQ then, but he was so engrossed in it and decided to overcome all the difficulties. His teacher was not willing to teach him at that time, but he still preserved in learning it hard and devoted all his time and energy in it. As time pass by, his cooking skills become more and more sophisticated （熟练的）and now he has become a renowned chief in a world-famous restaurant. I have tasted the food he cooked, which was not only delicate in taste but also in color and shape. I feel so lucky to meet him since I’ve learned a lot from him. It’s not important whether I think he is a good cook, though I really do, but his persistence （坚持）in doing what he really likes touches me and makes him a master in cooking.
