【Part2】Describe a project you do as part of your studies2

The essay I want to talk about today is the research work assigned by my school in the last summer vacation. The topic was about the living condition of the elderly in rural area. For the sake of delivering this assignment in time and in good quality. I have to set up a precise research aim of it and do some relevant survey and questionnaire about it. As far as I could see, it’s definitely wiser to determine the topic before formal investigation begins so as to get more information from there spondents. Therefore I firstly read a lot of local newspapers, and visited government websites and even asked advice from my parents. The topic I chose was rural endowment insurance(农村养老保险)because I thought this would be an issue close to people’s lives. Right after that, I designed several relevant questionnaires. Unfortunately, I ran into a stone wall(遇到困难be in troubles)from the very beginning.Many of the old people have eye problem, so I have no choice but read each item for them. What’s worse, most of the respondents had no idea about the insurance policy even though they were insured through it. On the first day, I visited two households and got worked up about(感到心烦意乱，不安get upset)it. The moment I thought about giving up, there is one sentence linger in my mind goes‘Never do things by halves’ (做事不能半途而废). After thinking twice, I sort out the best method to continue this survey, instead of doing these mass redundant work, I went to the local elderly activity place and get want I want from them in the most efficient way.Finally, I collected enough data and finished my essays smoothly（顺利地）.From this precious experience, I learnt that perseverance(坚持insistence)is an important quality. Even if you cannot succeed in the end, you will achieve a lot in the process.
