The giant rubber duck debuted for its enthusiastic fans at the Garden Expo Park on September 6, Beijing Times reports.

The duck is created by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman. The super-sized bath accessory due to grace Beijing will be 18-meters high, taller than the 16.5-meter version displayed in Hong Kong.

From September 6 until September 23, people can view the duck at Beijing's Garden Expo for an entry fee of 100 yuan, and then from September 26 to October 26, the duck will be installed at the Summer Palace. Tickets for the Summer Palace cost 30 yuan.

据《北京时报》报道，9月6日，大黄鸭在北京园博园开始了首秀，迎接它的热情粉丝。

大黄鸭的创造者是荷兰的艺术家弗洛伦泰因·霍夫曼。加上为北京特制的巨型浴缸底座，这只大黄鸭高约18米，比当时香港版的16.5米要高。

从9月6日至9月23日，游客购买100元门票，就可以进入北京的园博园，参观大黄鸭。而从9月26日至10月26日，大黄鸭将被转移至颐和园。颐和园的票价为30元。

文中的giant rubber duck就是“大黄鸭”的英文名字。giant作名词时，最早是指古希腊神话中的巨人，是盖亚和乌拉诺斯的儿女。现在则往往用来指一个行业里的巨头，如oil giant 石油业巨头、literary giant 文学巨匠等。
