【新SAT】阅读新题型证据支持题解题攻略

新SAT阅读考试增加了一个新题型，即证据支持题。College Board的官方OG上定义了这种新的“双胞胎”题型，也就是说这一类型的题目会以一对儿的形式出现：其中第一道通常为文意推断，而第二道题则考察第一道题的答案来源。这种新的题型让很多考生闻风丧胆，因为它看起来极为繁琐，但其实找到证据并不难。

我们通过下面这个例题来详细解释一下：

例题： 1、Where does the author indicate the medieval volcanic eruption most probably was located?A. Near the equator, in IndonesiaB. In the Arctic regionC. In the Antarctic regionD. Near the equator, in Ecuador 2、Which choice provides the best evidence for the answer to the previous question?A. Lines 1-3 (“About 750… Ice Age”)B. Lines 26-28 (“Such a …the cooling”)C. 如果我们按部就班地做题的话，应该是把文章读完之后，先将第1题解决掉，然后在回读文章找到自己得到第1题的依据。

可是证据题其实远无需那么繁琐，只需要动脑筋仔细观察，便能很快得到2道题的答案。证据题的重要原则是第2题必须要直接证明第1题，那么也就意味着两道题的答案应该是一样的。

所以先读第1题题干：中世纪火山最可能在哪里发生?浏览一遍选项后，直接直接看第2题的四个选项，并比对第一题选项，一口气解答两道题：

A. About 750 years ago, a powerful volcano erupted somewhere on Earth, kicking off a centuries-long cold snap known as the Little Ice Age. 意思是说750年前的某个位置的火山爆发导致了Little Ice Age，地点词“somewhere”是一个非常宽泛的概念，难以成为best evidence。

B. Such a sudden onset pointed to a huge volcanic eruption injecting sulfur into the stratosphere and starting the cooling. 这个选项意思是说这样的一个开端矛头指向了一个火山爆发，火山喷发了硫磺进入平流层，导致空气冷却。干脆没有提及地点。

C. The volume of ash deposited, and the estimated height of the eruption plume (43 kilometers above sea level) put the eruption’s magnitude at a minimum of 7 on the volcanic explosivity index(which has a scale of 1to 8)—making it one of the largest known in the Holocene. 这句话介绍了火山喷发高度和级数使它成为了Holocene的最大火山之一。这句话可能有人不认识Holocene这个单词，或许会把它当成地点来看待(其实是全新世的意思，地质学时间术语)，但即便由于单词不认识而把它当成了地点，第1题中选项和题干中都没有提到Holocene，大大降低此选项正确概率。

D. It is not a surprise that an Indonesian volcano might be the source of the eruption, Miller says. “An equatorial eruption is more consistent with the apparent climate impacts.” 全句意思是说印度尼西亚火山可能是源头，赤道周围火山的爆发更符合气候影响。这句话 1. 提到地点：Indonesian volcano;2. 该地点跟上一道题中的A选项一致。

也就是说，在不看第1题的基础之上直接看第2题，便可以直接选出两道题的答案，即第1题为A，第2题为D。
