雅思A类写作小作文范文

The bar chart illustrates how the populations of senior citizens who are aged 65 or more in Canada, Germany and UK had changed since 1980 and how they would change before 2030.

Different from UK whose aging population remained the same, Canada and Germany shared an upward trend within the first two decades. In the year 1980, the proportion of the over-65-year-olds was at exactly 10% in Canada and around 15% in Germany, doubling to around 20% and increasing by 10% or so separately by 2000 while the figure for UK saw no change, at approximately 15%.

A marginal increase of 5% is expected to continue in Canada and Germany, both of which will reach the peak at some 25% and 30% respectively in 2030, with the growth of Canada slowing over this period. Likewise, with the highest point at nearly 20% in 2030, it is estimated that the percentage of English senior citizens will enjoy a gentle rise of only 5% in 30 years, despite leveling off between 1980 and 2000.

Overall, there are more old peopleaged over 65 in Germany than in Canada and UK throughout the 1980-2030 period but all of them is estimated to face growing aging population in the future.
