You should say

What it was?

When you studied the subject?

Why you didn’t like it before?

And explain why you have interest in it now.

Sample answer:

The subject that I’d like to talk about today is accounting. I was majored in accounting back in school but I wasn’t really into it. You know, those figures and statistics, balance sheets and leger accounts, I thought I was really not my thing and feel reluctant to learn. Actually I was suggested to choose accounting as my major by my parents cuz they think it will help me to find a good job after graduation, I had no idea about how much I will dislike it so I took their advice. Then I started my 4 years college journey of accounting. Even though I don’t like this major but I’m still giving all the best to it cuz I know the importance of acquiring the major-related knowledge so I still got a good GPA of my major during the 4 years. After graduation, I began my career as an auditor in PWC which require a high command of professional knowledge, so I have no choice but better my competence. When you combined the thing that you’ve learnt with your work, you will start to like it and find it pragmatic. So I gradually built up the interest about accounting and auditing. The more I apply to work ,the more passion I gain for this subject. I think the process of problem finding and solving is very interesting. Once you’ve conquered all the difficulties you had before, you will surely have a sense of self-achievement and that will be the resource of the endless desire and passion for your subject and work.

• Do you think teachers have a great influence on students’ studies?

I think so, like the great teacher Keating in the movie “The dead poet society” which has encouraged a school of young minors to learn to seize the days and carpe diem. All the students regard him as a leader of life and beacon in the night.

• How to learn English in a fun way?

It’s kinda hard to say, cuz it’s hard to define what a truly fun way is. For me I think, if you can combine your interest, say like moive, music and sports with English learning, it could be a fun way

• Do you think students should spend more time on one subject or equally spend time on all subjects?

I think it depends on their interests. Definitely, we can not force someone to learn the subjects they don’t like, so why don’t we let them to learn what they like to learn. If a student can give all the best to something they like, I think they will achieve more in such area.
