一. 新GRE填空的变化

新GRE考试去掉了类比和反义词考察，填空部分除了单句题目(1-2空格)以外增加了两种形式：段落填空 ( 1-N个空格 3选1)和单个句子六选二填空。

1. 段落填空题

Eg. Directions:For each blank select one entry from the corresponding column of choices. Fill all blanks in the way that best completes the text.

第一空：

经典悲剧与现代悲剧，这两个词一出来，必然构成反义关系。第二句讲现代悲剧是"austere andstripped down"，那么找一个作为“朴素和坦诚”的反义词，所以第一个空选 C、multifaceted。

第二空：

所在句子是"so... that"结构，前面的"its representation"指代的是现代悲剧，所以“nothing+空格”意思应该仍然是“朴素和坦诚”。当然由于"nothing"是否定词，所以空格应该选"austere” 的反义，所以第二空选 F、 extraneous.

通过对这道新GRE填空题的分析，我们可以看出现在的填空考题对于同义词和反义词的考察仍然是很多的，所以我们可以利用老题型中的反义题型来增加对单词的理解和反应速度。

2. 句子填空题(六选二)同义词双选样题

在这道样题中，句子逻辑关系的体现是"in fact”表示前后反义，前面说早期批评家误解Emily(著名女诗人)的诗是 "simplemindedness”，那么实际上她的诗应该是_______。

这里肯定填"simplemindedness”的反义词。选项有两组近义词B、craft 和C、cunning(匠心独运和有计谋，狡猾)，以及D、innocence 和E、naivete(天真和幼稚)。毫无疑问是选第一组。"Artlessness,craft, cunning, innocence, naivete”这些词以及它们的同义和反义词在GRE老题中经常出现。所以通过背红宝书，加上做GRE现有材料中的类比题目大大有助于新题型的考试成绩。
